Process

  • Scoping was conducted with the stakeholders and SME (Subject Matter Experts) to determine the current state of the learner and what new knowledge is needed.

    Scoping information was used to create Learning Objectives and project timeline.

  • Storyboarding was completed in PowerPoint to shorten development time in Articulate Storyline.

    PowerPoint was shared with stakeholders for review.

  • Using Articulate Storyline allows for the ability to create engaging deliverables and drive knowledge transformation.

    Final testing and review was conducted with stakeholders and project testers.

SwiftPOS Systems Training

Audience: Newly-hired staff

Tools Used: Articulate Storyline 360, Google Suite

This e-learning course allows new employees to learn and experience the POS (Point of Sale) in a safe environment. The design helps learners build confidence by observing and practicing with guided help.


Process

  • My approach includes thoroughly analyzing existing materials and workflows to create an engaging and intuitive training experience.

    The ice cream shop client recently experienced challenges with new employees who lacked a solid grasp of the Point of Sale (POS) system. This issue had a ripple effect on the entire team, leading to inefficiencies in completing daily tasks and resulting in longer wait times for customers. goes here

  • After completing the scoping phase and setting the learning objectives, I moved on to the storyboarding phase. This critical step involved outlining the structure and flow of the e-learning course to ensure it effectively met the established goals. Utilizing various tools within the G-Suite, such as Google Slides and Google Docs, I created detailed and visually engaging storyboards that served as blueprints for the course.

    I ensured the client's active participation by regularly seeking their feedback and guidance throughout the storyboard creation process, holding virtual meetings, and sharing iterative drafts. This collaborative approach guaranteed that the final storyboard aligned perfectly with the client's vision and instructional needs, paving the way for a seamless development phase.

  • I used Articulate 360 to transform the storyboard into an engaging and interactive prototype, leveraging its robust features to create a dynamic learning experience. The prototype included various multimedia elements such as animations, quizzes, and interactive scenarios designed to captivate learners and reinforce key concepts.

    To ensure the course met the client's expectations and effectively addressed their training needs, I actively engaged clients in the testing process. By soliciting their detailed feedback and observations, I was able to make informed adjustments and enhancements to the course. This iterative approach ensured the final product was both highly effective and tailored to the specific needs of the client and their new employees.

Escape Stress with a Wello

Audience: Prospective customers

This 5-minute microlearning was created to show customers how Wello Works amenities can combat stress.

Verizon Retail Onboarding Program

  • Scoped to identify issues in the current multi-channel onboarding program.

  • Oversaw all technology and visual design needs of the entire program.

  • Partnered with stakeholders and subject matter experts to localize content.

  • Mentored new designers in best practices including:

  • Writing learning objectives

  • Visual Design

  • Animation

  • Project Management

  • Validation Testing

2022 Brandon Hall Group Gold Award - Talent Acquisition

Created a two-week self-paced onboarding program with increased on-the-floor activities.

  • Engaging e-learning courses for knowledge transfer.

Employee Well-Being for Verizon Consumer Group

2022 Brandon Hall Group Gold Award - Learning and Development

  • Scoped to identify issues on employee well-being across the enterprise.

  • Partnered with stakeholders and subject matter experts to craft best practices and engagement focuses based on employee channel (retail, customer service, office, etc.)

  • Designed and developed virtual instructor-led courses with a companion guide for employees and their leaders.

RESULT:

  • Increased employee satisfaction scores.

  • Increased learner satisfaction through Level 1 surveys scores.

  • Additional channels adopted program based on results.


Flex 2.0 Systems Training

  • Scoped and partnered with SME to identify changes in POS system and nationwide rollout for internal and external partners.

  • Utilized platforms like Figma to consult on UX design from a design standpoint.

  • Designed, developed and altered system flows and storyboards during system build to meet launch timelines.

  • Designed a highly complex Captivate course to engage learners and drive knowledge on system changes.

RESULT:

  • Trial launch provided data and feedback to the systems team on issues.

  • High learner satisfaction through Level 1 surveys.

  • Decrease in system support post-training.


Center of Excellence Onboarding

  • Scoped and analyzed current onboarding as well as role responsibilities.

  • Partnered with SME and stakeholders to provide priority tasks and guidance through design process.

  • Designed a 3-day engaging self-paced course:

    • Developed and delivered Google Microsite with embedded tools and resources specific to role.

    • Designed peer shadow guides to keep onboarding consistent across the channel.

    • Consulted and trained leadership on learning objectives and proper new employee development.

RESULT:

  • Trial onboarding provided new insights for the embedded base.

  • Speed to competence drove new employees to feel better prepared and leaders spent less time with new employees for common tasks. Feedback based on Level 4 surveys.

  • Increased peer-support and stronger team culture.

  • Increased learner satisfaction and support based on Level 1 surveys.
